The start-up uGetWin and Erganeo announce the signing of an exclusive license for the exploitation of technological innovations combining the digital twin, the Internet of Things, and digital models of the environment. This enables the deployment of intelligent communications within complex infrastructures without the need for a network connection.
At the crossroads of digital twins, the Internet of Things, and intelligence in constrained environments, these technologies enable the development of software and applications for indoor/outdoor guidance, optimal crowd management with real-time route proposals adapted to user profiles and mobility obstacles, as well as proximity communication between users (device-to-device). They are intended for companies seeking to optimize safety-related uses, as well as infrastructure operators working on smart cities.
Developed within the MSME and LIGM laboratories (CNRS, Université Gustave Eiffel, Université Paris-Est Créteil), this technology is based on several years of research led by Prof. Ahmed Mebarki, Prof. Abderrezak Rachedi, and Dr. Hakim Badis.
Erganeo has supported the project since 2017, working closely with the researchers and ensuring the maturation of the different technological building blocks up to their industrial transfer. Intellectual property protection has been implemented, including four patents filed between 2017 and 2022 and two software registrations in 2020 and 2021.
This momentum has now resulted in an industrialization phase driven by uGetWin, a deeptech start-up created in 2021 with the research team, specializing in wireless communication services and the Internet of Things, with the unique feature of combining indoor and outdoor navigation guidance while optimally exploiting the digital modeling of built environments (digital twins and digital models).
The year 2026 will mark the beginning of commercialization of the device-to-device solution, followed by the launch of navigation modules, and then the integrated solution in 2027. These tools will provide users with efficient, adaptive, and autonomous services in contexts as varied as large public events, critical infrastructures, shopping centers, or industrial sites. “This major technological breakthrough, serving both security and the optimization of user experience, was made possible thanks to SATT’s support in intellectual property, maturation, and transfer toward new industrial perspectives” said Naceur Tounekti, President of Erganeo.
